There are many names for ambient music (trip-hop, chill, downtempo, adult alternative, electronica, indie), but what counts is the celestial vibe and worldly viewpoint she created on her debut CD PLASTIC GARDEN.
Michele, and the producers she worked with, added pop and world elements to her sound with electric arrangements that are tasteful, inventive and lush. Melodically, the songs are dreamy and haunting, with pure vocals and introspective lyrics. The CD takes you on a trippy, garden stroll through love, living in fantasy, realizing truths and finding hope. Lyrics that suggest this journey: "Just a hint of blossoms in the air keeps the fantasy alive, why are we always smelling roses, even when they're Dandelions? . . .
